For a recent analysis of the impact of the new Anti-Subrogation law by NYSTLA Board Members Thomas Moore and Matthew Gaier, click here. |
Successful Medicare, Medicaid, ERISA CLE!John Tomsky chaired a record-setting seminar “Medicare, Medicaid, ERISA and Private Insurers’ Claims and Medicare Set-Asides - Separating Fact from Fiction in a Changing Landscape” on December 3, 2009. NYSTLA President Richard S. Binko with AAJ President Anthony Tarricone
NYSTLA Board Members Lenore Kramer, Helene E. Blank, and David E. Waterbury NYSTLA hosted a Holiday Party for the Board of Directors on December 16, 2009. The party provided NYSTLA Directors with a great opportunity to network with colleagues and members of the Partnership for Justice. President Binko also welcomed special guest Anthony Tarricone, President of the American Association for Justice (AAJ). Mr. Tarricone applauded NYSTLA’s continued success of protecting the civil justice system, and highlighted several important AAJ legislative issues. NYSTLA thanks all of the Officers, Past Presidents, Directors and Partners who attended, and for their ongoing support of NYSTLA. |
Political Action Training - FREE CLENYSTLA members who want to join NYSTLA’s fight to ensure our clients’ continued access to the civil justice system are encouraged to attend NYSTLA’s upcoming Political Action Training seminar at NYSTLA headquarters on Thursday, January 28, 2010. Medical Malpractice Mediation ProgramMembers should consider participating in our med mal mediation program. In conjunction with the Medical Liability Mutual Insurance Company (MLMIC), NYSTLA has instituted this program for the early disposition of appropriate medical malpractice cases through mediated negotiations. To achieve this goal, we ask you to select cases that may lend themselves to mediation and to submit candidate cases to NYSTLA for our in-house mediation program. NYSTLA also continues to compile a list of mediators. Let NYSTLA know if you are interested in mediating cases. Contact Amanda Widom with any questions or to submit a case at 212-349-5890 or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . |
